“Today’s ruling is a victory for Minnesota girls and women who deserve fair competition and equal opportunity in sports. The Trump administration’s Department of Education has stepped in where Governor Walz and the radical DFL have failed.
Instead of protecting our daughters, the Walz administration and the Minnesota State High School League opened the door for biological males to dominate girls’ sports. We saw it happen at the state fastpitch softball championship, where a trans athlete took the field and upended the fairness of competition.
This is not complicated: Title IX was written to protect girls, not erase them. Every time Governor Walz and the DFL put ideology above common sense, it’s our daughters who pay the price—losing playing time, championships, and even scholarships.
