STATEMENT FROM MNGOP CHAIRMAN ALEX PLECHASH
“Last night showed Minnesotans exactly what the Republican Party stands for: stop the fraud, cut taxes, lower the cost of living, protect girls’ sports, restore public safety and bring common sense and accountability back to government.
“And it showed the contrast voters will have in November.
“The DFL nominated Peggy Flanagan, Amy Klobuchar, Matt Little and Keith Ellison — politicians who have already spent years in government and are now asking Minnesotans for more power. Flanagan was Lieutenant Governor while massive fraud exploded on the Walz administration’s watch. Ellison has been Attorney General for nearly eight years. Klobuchar has spent nearly two decades in Washington. Matt Little is another longtime politician from the DFL’s progressive wing.
“They have had their chance. Minnesota has seen the results: fraud without accountability, higher costs, declining confidence in government and an agenda increasingly disconnected from common sense.
“The DFL’s answer tonight was not to change direction. It was to double down and move further left.
“Republicans offer something fundamentally different. Our candidates will fight to end the fraud, protect taxpayers, make Minnesota affordable again, stand with law enforcement, protect girls and women’s sports, empower parents and restore accountability to government.
“Tonight the Republican primaries end. Tomorrow we come together as one team.
“This election is not about Republican versus Republican anymore. It is about change versus more of the same.
“We are united, we are ready for the fight, and we are going to take that contrast to every corner of Minnesota — from the top of the ticket through every congressional and legislative race — and win in November.
“Minnesota has had enough decline. It is time to take our state back.”
