MINNESOTA REPUBLICANS SURPASS 2 MILLION DOORS KNOCKED — AND COUNTING
Record-setting grassroots effort expected to exceed 2.5 million doors as Republican enthusiasm surges heading into Election Day
ST. PAUL, MN — The Republican Party of Minnesota announced today that Republican campaigns and organizations across the state have collectively knocked on more than 2 million doors since May — and the number continues to climb.
With additional campaign and grassroots organization reports still being compiled, party officials expect the final statewide total to exceed 2.5 million doors knocked, marking what the party believes is a record-setting grassroots effort in Minnesota.
And those numbers don’t include the extensive voter outreach conducted through phone calls, text messages, emails, direct mail and other voter-contact efforts.
“This is what a grassroots movement looks like,” said Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Alex Plechash. “More than 2 million doors knocked, with a final total likely to exceed 2.5 million. That’s an extraordinary accomplishment, and it speaks to the enthusiasm, commitment and determination of Republicans across Minnesota who are ready for a change in direction.”
Plechash continued:
“You can’t manufacture this kind of enthusiasm, and you can’t buy it with television commercials. It comes from thousands of volunteers who believe so strongly in the future of our state that they’re willing to spend their evenings and weekends knocking on doors, making phone calls and talking with their neighbors. That’s the heart and soul of our party, and it’s the grassroots energy we’re counting on to carry us to victory.”
With Election Day just hours away, Republicans are continuing their voter-contact efforts across Minnesota.
“Every door knocked, every phone call made and every conversation matters,” Plechash added. “I couldn’t be prouder of our volunteers, candidates and local Republican organizations. They have done something truly remarkable. Now it’s time to finish strong and make every vote count.”
