Statement from Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Alex Plechash
Today’s federal law enforcement action confirms what Minnesotans already know: the fraud crisis in our state is real, massive, and happened under Democrat leadership.
For years, Republicans warned that fraud was exploding across taxpayer-funded programs. There were red flags, whistleblower warnings, explosive spending increases, and repeated examples of basic oversight failures. Governor Walz had every chance to act. Attorney General Keith Ellison had every chance to hold the fraud machine accountable. Amy Klobuchar had every chance to stand up for Minnesota taxpayers instead of protecting her party.
They failed.
Now federal authorities are being forced to step in and clean up the mess.
Tonight, Governor Walz will deliver his final State of the State address. But actions speak louder than words. No polished speech can erase billions in fraud, years of excuses, and the failure of Minnesota Democrats to protect taxpayers.
Minnesotans do not need more speeches. They need accountability — from the fraudsters who stole from public programs and from the leaders who let it happen.
