Ivanka Trump visits Minnesota’s First Congressional District to talk trade with Congressman Hagedorn

“Today, Ivanka Trump is in Minnesota’s First Congressional District with Congressman Jim Hagedorn to discuss the USMCA. Congressman Hagedorn was the first Minnesota Congressman to support the USMCA and the tremendous benefits it will bring to his district.

“Minnesota agriculture exports are being treating fairly now and markets been expanded because of the USMCA. The USMCA will result in a $2 billion increase in exports and a $65 billion increase in gross domestic product.

“Before he took office, Trump promised to fight for better trade deals for the American people, and he has delivered. Whereas, Joe Biden voted for the the NAFTA disaster as a Senator and did nothing to fix it when he was Vice President.

“President Trump and Congressman Hagedorn have delivered for the people of Minnesota’s agriculture industry and will continue to fight for them.”

MNGOP statement on Cops for Trump listening session with VP Pence and Ivanka Trump

“Minnesota is ground zero for the arson, looting, and mayhem that is now plaguing so many other cities across the country. The weak response to the riots from Minneapolis Democrat Mayor Jacob Frey and Democrat Governor Tim Walz emboldened the mayhem movement at its inception and led to its spread across the country.

“We applaud President Trump’s commitment to the rule of law and his administration’s steady hand in this time of crisis and we are grateful to Vice President Pence and Ivanka Trump for coming to Minnesota to reassure us that they will remain committed.”

MNGOP Statement on President Trump’s Sixth Visit to Minnesota

“The Republican Party of Minnesota is excited to welcome President Donald Trump back to our great state for the sixth time since he took the oath of office.

“The President’s visit to Bemidji demonstrates how important greater Minnesota is to the vibrancy of our country and how much this specific area has shifted from blue to red over the past several election cycles.

“President Trump has made Minnesota a priority during this campaign; while we’ve watched Joe Biden take all Minnesotans for granted.  The Trump Campaign has made over three million direct voter contacts in Minnesota; while Joe Biden is still hiding from the general public.

“President Trump has the momentum to make history on November 3rd and that momentum was evident in the thousands of supporters that descended upon Bemidji to support him for four more years.”

MN GOP Statement on Early Voting

“As one of the earliest states in the nation to open voting, Minnesota’s no excuse absentee ballot process allows all Minnesotans every opportunity to participate in our important elections.

“The right to freely and fairly vote either in-person or via absentee mail ballot request ensures that democracy is at the forefront of our state.

“It’s disconcerting that Democratic Secretary of State Steve Simon is using $1.2 million of taxpayer dollars to scheme and confuse voters about the voting laws that exist in Minnesota.  Because the Democrats failed in their quest of universal all vote by mail, now they are using the SOS office to try and game the system.

“We believe and encourage all eligible voters to participate in our elections, either in-person or via absentee. True voter promotion, starts with ensuring all voters understand their rights and the ways in which they can vote; which in Minnesota includes same-day voter registration in-person.”

MN GOP Statement on Biden Prohibiting Press During Minnesota Visit

”It’s unfortunate that Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden’s visit to Minnesota will exclude the press from attending and covering his visit.  This shows very clearly that his visit to Duluth is nothing more than a prop, in a poorly run campaign, devoid of actually connecting with Minnesotans.

”On the other hand, thousands of enthused supporters lined up before sunrise in Bemidji to welcome and hear from President Trump; which is open to the media.

”This is just another reason why Minnesota will deliver ten electoral votes for the President.”

MNGOP Statement on Joe Biden visiting Duluth

“Apparently Joe Biden didn’t receive the message that Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District went +16 points for President Donald Trump in 2016, was one of only two congressional seats in the nation to flip in 2018 from Democrat to Republican, and many Democratic Iron Range mayors have come out in support of the President.

“Biden’s campaign strategy, just like his upcoming visit to Minnesota, will be lackluster at best.  Perhaps he should have stayed home and watched CNN in his basement.

“On the other hand, many enthusiastic supporters will be on-hand in Bemidji to welcome the President back to Minnesota for the sixth time since he took the oath of office.  Minnesota is ripe to flip from blue to read on November 3rd and with each upcoming visit, comes more support and votes for all of our Republicans on the ballot.”

MNGOP statement on Dean Phillips campaign finance hypocrisy

“In 2018 Democratic Congressman Dean Phillips pledged not to finance his own campaign and then spent $1.3 million to buy himself a seat in the US House of Representatives. Since that election, Rep. Phillips has told voters he’s intent on getting big money out of politics and refused to take PAC money.  However, Phillips is a big money donor himself and has taken money from PAC’s.

“Dean Phillips can self-fund his political ambitions and take money from PACs if he wants to, but he should at least be honest about it with the people in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District.  Maple Grove, Edina, Eden Prairie and Plymouth moms don’t like it when politicians are disingenuous.”

WHAT DEAN PHILLIPS SAYS ABOUT MONEY IN POLITICS:
2020: “We have legalized corruption in our country through our laws and through our acceptance of a campaign finance system…”
2019: …”the corrupting influence of money in politics.”

WHAT DEAN PHILLIPS DOES ABOUT MONEY IN POLITICS:
2008: Dean gave $30,800 to the Obama Victory Fund PAC
2012: Dean gave over $80,000 to the Obama Victory Fund PAC
2012: Dean’s brother and business partner Tyler gave $35,800 to the Obama Victory Fund PAC
2011-2012: Dean “bundled” $320,000 for Obama
2015: Dean hosted a high dollar fundraiser for Hillary Clinton at is Wayzata home
2016: Dean gave $62,500 to the Hillary Victory Fund PAC – machine that pushes legal boundaries”
2016: Dean’s brother and business partner Tyler gave $60,000 to the Hilary Victory Fund PAC
2016: Dean gave $33,400 to the DSCC
2016: Dean gave $10,000 to the DFL
2020: Dean’s brother Tyler is the largest donor to the DFL giving $105,000, so far

WHAT DEAN SAYS ABOUT FINANCING HIS OWN CAMPAIGN:
2018: Dean “pledges” to “refrain from self-financing” his campaign for Congress

WHAT DEAN DOES ABOUT FINANCING HOW OWN CAMPAIGN:
2018: Dean gave $1.3 million of his own to campaign for Congress

WHAT DEAN SAYS ABOUT PAC MONEY:
2019: “…the corrupting influence of PACs…”
2020: “…you won’t find any PAC money in our campaign.”

WHAT DEAN DOES ABOUT PAC MONEY:
2019-2020: Dean accepted over $100,000 of PAC money

2019: Dean’s own PAC, Phillips Victory 2020, gave $33,700 to the DFL
2019: Dean’s own PAC, Phillips Victory 2020, gave his own campaign $17,500

MNGOP statement on Steve Kelley’s non-confirmation

“The Minnesota Senate’s job is to make sure the people the Governor appoints to be commissioners are qualified and capable. The Commissioner of the Commerce Department must be an expert in the insurance regulatory field and Steve Kelley doesn’t have that expertise. Steve Kelley’s focus while in the legislature was in education policy, energy policy, and telecommunications policy. His lack of required knowledge was evident in his performance as Commissioner.

“The Senate brought these concerns to Governor Walz in February and neither the Governor nor Kelley did anything to ameliorate the situation. Combine that with Kelley meddling with the PUC’ and their work on Enbridge’s Line 3 and it’s clear that he had to go.”

MNGOP Statement on MPPOA Rescinding DFL Endorsements

“We applaud The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association for rescinding their endorsement of several Democrat legislators. The DFL did nothing more than pay lip service to law enforcement after DFL House candidate John Thompson showed up at a police officer’s house and threatened to ignite the town of Hugo. The fact that Democrat Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman would hold a fundraiser for John Thompson shows how insincere the DFL’s condemnation of him was. We are glad the MPPOA saw through it.

“It’s important to remember the sacrifices made by members of the law enforcement community, especially today.

“There is a clear choice this November: the Democrats tolerate and tacitly encourage the violence and mayhem that is plaguing America’s cities and the Republican Party, all the way up to President Trump, respect the rule of law. On Election Day, voters will pick peace and prosperity over chaos and mayhem.”

MNGOP statement on President Trump’s Sixth Visit to Minnesota

“The Republican Party of Minnesota is excited to welcome President Donald Trump back to our great state for the second time in a month.

“President Trump’s visit to Bemidji next week is his sixth trip to Minnesota in two and a half years, unlike Joe Biden who only recently decided to end his 1000 plus day absence in our great state. What Joe Biden took for granted, President Trump is making a priority.

“Joe Biden’s visit is too little too late, and in 54 days, Minnesota will make history by flipping our 10 electoral votes.”
