MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement about the RNC and MNGOP’s decision to intervene in a lawsuit aimed to defend laws that prevent ballot manipulation:
“The Republican Party of Minnesota is proud to join the Republican National Committee against the recent lawsuit filed by the ACLU, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
“It is concerning that these Democrat-aligned groups have failed to prove how voters have been or would be disenfranchised by Minnesota’s Ballot Harvesting Ban or the Voter Protection Law. Instead, this lawsuit is an attempt to use the courts for political gain and open the door to voter interference and intimidation across the state of Minnesota.
“Once again, Democrats are grasping at straws to try to win the election through the courts rather than on the ballot as they know they will be unable to beat President Trump in November.”
